Personal Injury Protection - PIP

Many of my customers ask, "What is Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Coverage?"

PIP pay for medical and funeral bills arising from accidents, including those in which the victim is a pedestrian or a bicyclist. It also pays 80 percent of lost income and the cost of hiring a caregiver for an injured person. You can select from 3 limits - $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000. These limits are paid per person. This covers you, your family members, and passengers in your car, regardless of who caused the accident.

This coverage is not mandatory in Texas, however if you do not want the coverage you must sign a waiver.
